Hello!
How are you doing out there? I'm hoping that you are taking good care of yourself! It's so hard to do a self-care routine, when we put unrealistic expectations and pressures on ourselves. I'm in the same boat, honestly. Since I started meditating, eating more mindfully, and exercising, the “bouncing back,” doesn't take as long as it used to. I remember that old saying, “you can't pour from an empty cup!” So, wherever you're at in your life, I hope you always take time to listen to what you really need, before giving too much away of yourself.
I started this blog to open up a bit more and to share my thoughts and what's going on in my life.
In August I was a part of a beautiful concert of all women musicians called, “The Feminine Collective.” We put on a sold-out show at the Old Santa Rosa Chapel in Cambria, and it was so inspiring and fun! The following weekend a group of us went on a “Feminine Collective” retreat at Wilde Big Sur, and it was magical my friends. So thankful to Ynana Rose and Natalie Haskins for starting this support group for women artists on the Central Coast of California.
Aside from gigging a bunch, (so grateful for the shows I'm getting), I've been working on my new Christmas single, “Christmas Decorations.” I got the final mastered mix today, and I can't wait to put it out there in the world! It's an original song I wrote about my memories and traditions we had in my family growing up. It's a sentimental, heartfelt song, that could possibly bring a tear to your eyes, just saying. I'll be sending out a newsletter soon with upcoming shows and more music news, including updates about my baritone ukelele EP I've been working on. Stay healthy and strong out there,
Much love,
Holly
